Marios Alexiou

Marios is a physiotherapist with over eight years of experience across musculoskeletal, neurological and sports rehabilitation alongside his private practice. He has developed a strong career in professional football working at both Academy and first team at Newport County, where he is currently head of physiotherapy and performance. His day-to-day roles include being responsible for the injury assessment, rehabilitation, return to sport management and the delivery of medical care for all of the athletes.

Marios is currently completing a Masters degree, in sports and exercise medicine further developing his expertise in sports injuries, rehabilitation and exercise medicine. He is a particular interest in musculoskeletal and sports injuries and enjoys applying the principles used within professional sport to everyday clinical practice. His approach is practical evidence based and individualised, whether helping someone returns from competitive sport, get back to the gym, recover from an injury, or simply move with less pain and more confidence.
