Mica Moore
Mica Moore is a 24 years old Athletics & Bobsleigh. She was born in Newport, South Wales. Mica Moore is a dual athlete as a Sprinter and Bobsledder. Competing over 100m and 200m in the summer for Wales and on Ice in the winter for Great Britain.
Her highest achievement in athletics is competing in the Glasgow Commonwealth Games in 2014 as part of the 4x100m relay, placing 7th with a National Record.
In 2016 I decided to trial out for the British bobsleigh team after falling ill with a virus that wiped out my track season, 8 weeks later I was competing in my first race for Great Britain in Calgary, Canada. In January 2017, my pilot and I won the 2-women event at the 2017 IBSF Junior World Championships in Winterberg, Germany, we also went on to place 5th on the World Cup circuit in Whistler, Canada – the highest placing for 8 years.
In 2018, I competed at the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics in the 2 women Bobsleigh team placing 8th – the highest ever placing for a British women’s team.
My hopes for the future are to keep excelling in sport, I would love to be able to compete for Wales again at another Commonwealth Games as I am very passionate about competing for my home Nation and I would also be honoured to compete for Great Britain again, I’m sure the team at The Treatment Room can help me achieve these goals!
