Josh Brown

(Athletics)

Joshua Brown is a 23 years old Athletics. He was born in Newport, south wales. Joshua Brown is an Welsh international athlete, competing over 60m, 100m and 200m. Josh is currently the 8th Fastest Welshman in history over 100m (10.33s).

His highest achievement in athletics is winning Gold in the 100m sprint at the 2018 Welsh Athletics Championships in the 100m. Prior to this, in only his second season as an athlete, Josh also managed to earn a place onto the Welsh Commonwealth Games long list but narrowly missed out in the 4x100m relay.

At the age of 16, Josh started playing Rugby, which later led him to receiving a first Welsh cap for the Wales Rugby League team in only his first season of playing. He then went onto sign a semi-pro contract with Pontypool RFC; unfortunately, due to injuries, this was a short lived career. This spurred him onto a career in athletics, 3 years later and Josh has won Gold and Silver at Welsh Indoor and Outdoor Athletics Championships, and competed at the London Anniversary Games for Wales.

My hopes for the future in this sport are to compete at the next Commonwealth Games for Wales & potentially an Olympic Games for Great Britain. I am thankful that the The Treatment Room will be by my side supporting my training and therapy needs throughout these next few seasons, and with their help hopefully I can be one step closer to achieving these goals.
