Gareth Simpson
Physiotherapist
Hi, my name is Gareth Simpson. I’m a physiotherapist with experience in elite football and rugby. I graduated in Physiotherapy and Sport Science from Bristol UWE and Brighton University, respectively. I’m currently working towards an MSc in Sport and exercise Science and Medicine from the University of Glasgow.
My Physiotherapy journey began at Old Redcliffians RFC competing in National 2 as an assistant therapist. Since graduating I have gained a range of experience within the NHS & elite sport. Within the NHS I completed rotations in acute stroke, acute medicine, and orthopaedics before moving to a static MSK role. From here I moved into full-time sport working with Cardiff Rugby Academy leading care of their U18s squad and supporting Cardiff RFC within Welsh Premiership Rugby. When the opportunity arose to dip my toe into the world of professional football, I jumped at the chance to work with Swansea City, starting work with their U18s squad before quickly progressing to the U21s squad. Most recently I have stepped back into rugby and progressed to leading the care of the forwards group at Ospreys Rugby as a Senior Physiotherapist.
I look forward to helping you recover from whatever challenges you face and getting you back to doing what you love!
